Steven Tersigni, MD, FACS, is an expert in the field of bariatric surgery. Board-certified since 1996, he is also a fellow with the American College of Surgeons, an honor awarded only to proven and accomplished surgeons. In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Tersigni fosters a caring and compassionate environment for every patient.
Dr. Tersigni earned his medical degree from the University of Utah in 1990 and completed his internship and residency at the University of Kansas.
A leader in the field of bariatric surgery, he is certified by the American Board of Surgery and has served as president of the Oregon Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Tersigni has practiced bariatric surgery longer than anyone else in Oregon and serves as a mentor to other bariatric surgeons.
Dr. Tersigni is a member of multiple professional associations, including the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Southwestern Surgical Congress, and the Oregon Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, and has been president of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Tersigni and his wife Lori live on Oregon’s south coast and enjoy spending time with their three children and grandchildren.
